[Talk about the global stock market this year]

The global economy was hit hard by the coronavirus. 
As the global economy came to a standstill, consumption dropped drastically, and corporate activity slowed down. 
Overseas travel decreased sharply, and the travel and airline industries took a huge hit. 
The situation went from bad to worse due to the oil shock.

The global stock market fell into a panic because of all this. 
As uncertainty grew, market crashes continued day after day. 
The drop was so persistent that there was no end in sight. 
In just a matter of weeks, stock markets in the U.S, Europe, and Asia fell by more than 30%. 
On one day, the U.S stock market suffered the biggest drop in history. 
Because of the stock market's steep decline, trillions of dollars went up in smoke.

코로나 바이러스는 전 세계 경제에 큰 타격을 입혔다. 
전 세계 경제가 멈추면서, 사람들의 소비가 급격하게 줄었고 기업 활동이 위축되었다. 
해외여행이 급격히 감소하면서 여행 업계와 항공 업계의 타격이 심했다. 
유가 폭락 사태까지 겹치면서 상황이 더욱 악화되었다.

이러한 일련의 사태로 인해, 전 세계 주식 시장은 패닉 상태에 빠졌다. 
불확실성이 커지면서 연일 폭락을 거듭했다. 
바닥이 어딘지 모를 정도로 하락세가 지속되었다. 
미국, 유럽, 아시아 증시가 불과 몇 주 사이에 30퍼센트 이상 폭락했다. 
미국의 증시는 역사상 가장 큰 낙폭을 기록한 날도 있었다. 주식 시장의 폭락으로 수조 달러의 가치가 증발했다.
